I like philosophy

"Common sense is the most widely shared commodity in the world, for every man is convinced that he is well supplied with it." from René Descartes the father of Modern Philosophy

"I'm not interested in preserving the status quo; I want to overthrow it." from Niccolo Machiavelli the father of Machiavellianism

"Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people." Carl Jung, the father of idealism

“The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.” Ayn Rand, the mother of Objectivism

"Neither seek nor want the approbation of any human being. It is the desire for approval and praise that enslaves us to the outrageous conventions which form 'the fabric of civilisation' and make us completely unnatural and discontent animals.   From the father of cynicism, Diogenes.
"one original thought is worth a thousand quotes" --- From the father of cynicism, Diogenes.

Aristotle said that; Democracy is the best of a bad bunch of weak systems. Democracy only functions if there are extremes of wealth and poverty. Everyone should be more a less equal, which is a far cry from where we are now
